5 Ways to Freshen Up Your Home

1. Dilute essential oil with water in a spray bottle.

You can spray your furniture and carpet to make the whole room smell like a specific scent. To expand, you can always have different scents for different areas of your house. For example: Nag Champa for the living room, Dragon's Blood for your bedroom and Spearmint for the bathroom.

2. Saving Orange Peels

You can then grate them and place them in a pot of boiling water in the kitchen to create a nice orange water, which can then be placed into a spritzer bottle and sprayed around the house and on clothing and pet areas to freshen things up.

3. Grow your own Herbs inside

What better way to give your home a fresh smelling scent than to grow your own rosemary inside! Several herbal plants will perform and grow inside a warm home, with little sunlight required.

4. Fabric Softener Sheets in your shoes and closets

It may sound funny, but try placing some dryer sheets into your old smelly sneakers for a while, or in your bathroom closets. The smell of the fabric softener will then cling to anything inside.

5. Use Soy Candles

Soy candles last longer than regular candles and they have a more fuller smell to them. Lighting these inside your home will help to put your mind at ease and your soul in a better mood.
